About the Book
This is much more than a dictionary or a glossary. It contains over 18,000 concepts and 600 illustrations. Computational procedures are illustrated by worked-out examples. A selected list of 1,000 references, as well as web addresses of almost 100 relevant databases, completes the volume.
  • This volume brings modern biology to your fingertips without the need to leave the workbench or desk. A most useful book to own.
  • Written for students, teachers, scientists, physicians, lawyers, and for all educated persons who need genetics and more.
  • Although the text is advanced, it is clear even for the beginner.
  • Cross-references connect to a network within the book. Therefore, by a sequential search, comprehensive information can be obtained for exams, for lectures or updating courses, or for clarifying problems.
  • The concise style permits easy access to specific topics.
